The project "Identification, assessment and recognition of informally acquired competences", short IBAK, is completed. This project site www.competences.info is still open to anyone interested, although it will be no longer updated.

The identification, assessment and recognition of informally acquired skills - for us these are still hot items. Get an updated overview on methods and instruments in our IBAK database on our homepage www.heurekanet.de or news from our BMBF project "KomBiA“. We look forward to your visit.

International compendium gives insight into the methodical practice in seven states

Strasbourg. The IBAK-consortium has published an international compendium of methods of identification, assessment and recognition of informally acquired competences.

The compendium starts with a short description of the situation in Europe concerning vocational education and training (VET) and the recognition of competences. In a next step the compendiums presents for each country of the project consortium, namely Austria, France, Germany, Lithuania, Netherlands, Slovakia and Switzerland, elected methods of identification, assessment and recognition of informally acquired competences. Deeply discussed are the procedures and the systems of recognition in France, Switzerland and the Netherlands. The compendium is closing with a view of the further development.
